Dissatisfied with volumetric compliance work and feeling that the retail tax space was taking undue advantage of the middle class it purported to serve, James launched his own firm in 2017 with a remote model to keep overhead down, efficiency up, organization optimal, and client convenience. It has not been perfect and mistakes were made, which is partly how well we can counsel what to do and what to avoid. Our ongoing mission: guard and grow the middle class through year-round premium service wherever they reside.

An avid reader and learner, James has an eclectic background in political science, international relations, philosophy, Austrian economics, Jungian psychology, and pre-medicine (which led to a passion with human anatomy and teaching gigs at post-secondary level); these varied fields and experiences produce an often contrarian outlook that results in unique, effective solutions for clients. He is also a PGS-certified gunsmith, and life member of Gun Owners of America and Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.
